The Bergbahnen Rosshütte and the Innsbruck Nordkettenbahnen make it easy to reach the Karwendel Höhenweg trail from the valley in a matter of minutes.  As the cable cars make their ascent, the breathtaking panorama of the stunning Alpine scenery and the unforgettable views looking down over the valley turn your journey into an incredible experience.

Bergbahnen Rosshütte

In Seefeld, Bergbahnen Rosshütte serve as a quick and convenient means of reaching the Karwendel Höhenweg trail. Passengers first take the funicular to the Rosshütte and then board the Härmelekopfbahn cable car to the Härmelekopf mountain. You then follow the panoramic hiking trail that leads to the Nördlinger Hütte hut, which serves as the end of the first stage of the Karwendel Höhenweg trail.

Daily: 9 am – 5 pm (every 15 minutes)

Seefelder Jochbahn cable car:

Daily: 9:15 am – 4:45 pm (every 15 minutes)

Innsbruck Nordkettenbahnen

The Innsbruck Nordkettenbahnen provides convenient direct access from the city of Innsbruck to the third stage of the Karwendel Höhenweg trail. Depending on the direction in which you hike from the Seegrube or the Hafelekar, you will come to either the Pfeishütte or the Solsteinhaus huts.
Of course, you can also use the Innsbruck Nordkettenbahnen to visit the city –  the journey from the high-altitude trail to Innsbruck city centre takes only 20 minutes.

Hungerburgbahn funicular:

Mon.-Fri.: 7:15 am – 7:15 pm | Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays: 8 am – 7:15 pm (every 15 minutes)

Seegrubenbahn cable car:

Daily: 08:30-17:30 (every 15 minutes)

Friday evenings: 18:00-23:30 (every 30 minutes)

Hafelekarbahn cable car:

Daily: 09:00-17:00 (every 15 minutes)
