The last stage of the Karwendel High Alpine Trail leads from the Nördlinger Hütte via the Schartlehnerhaus leads down to Reith bei Seefeld.

Stage description:
From the Nördlinger Hütte a path leads down over the mountain pine ridge of the so-called “Schoaßgrat”, in the beginning less curvy, then in numerous serpentines to the Schartlehnerhaus (1856 m). Here you keep left on trail 211 which leads down through a beautiful mountain forest in countless serpentines. You reach a wide cart path, which you follow southwards until you reach the Panoramaweg trail. The signs show us the way over two hairpin bends towards Reith bei Seefeld. When you reach the road, cross the Römerstrasse road and follow it south until you reach the railway station.

Variant:
From the Nördlinger Hütte you can either take the Kuntersteig (10) directly to the Härmelekopfbahn cable car (Variant 1) or steep and exposed via the Härmelekopf and the Reither Spitze again to the Härmelekopfbahn (Variant 2). The Härmelekopf cable car takes you comfortably down to the Rosshütte (1751 m) and continues with the funicular to the valley station of the Rosshütte cable cars.

Good to know:
On the last stage you can once again enjoy the peace and quiet in a wonderful mountain forest. If you keep your eyes peeled, you will be able to spot a number of interesting types of plants and animals – some of which are included in the list a little further down. Enjoy discovering the local flora and fauna!
