Nördlinger Hütte

At 2239 m, the Nördlinger Hütte is the highest refuge in the entire Karwendel mountain range and gets top marks for the spectacular vista over the Inn valley and the so-called Oberland region, as well as for its fabulous culinary specialities.

ALPINE ASSOCIATION – HUT ON THE URSPRUNGSATTEL (RIDGE)

The Nördlinger Hütte lies a bit below the Reither Spitze (2374 m) and has been run by the Nördlingen Section since 1898. It is popular with hikers as a base for day or multi-day treks and is also the starting point for various summit ascents. The hut can accommodate over 60 people in comfortable multi-bed or dormitory-style rooms and after a good night’s sleep, it’s off on the next day’s hike, for example, the Karwendel High Alpine Trail.

Now he has found a new home as tenant host here in the Karwendel Nature Park, to the delight of the guests who can enjoy his culinary masterpieces such as Tyrolean rolled-barley soup with bacon and alpine herbs or flambéed “Kaiserschmarren” (pancake-style dish).
