Nature Park Information Center Scharnitz
The Nature Park Information Center Scharnitz is a highlight for all visitors to the region, serving as the western gateway to the Karwendel. Especially before or after hiking the Karwendel High Trail, you can gather information here, visit the museum, or simply relax in the outdoor area. The new information center is operated by the Seefeld Tourism Association and is located right next to the associated Holzerhütte Museum and the Nature Adventure Playground Scharnitz.
Opening hours
01. May 2025 – 31.October 2025, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Closed in winter.

Holzerhütte Museum
In the historic woodworkers’ hut, there is a modern and personal museum that not only tells the local history but also stories about the natural diversity in the forest. The Holzerhütte Museum is located right next to the Nature Park Information Center and the Nature Adventure Playground.

Nature Adventure Playground
The outdoor area around the Holzerhütte Museum and the Nature Park Information Center in Scharnitz has been designed as a unique nature adventure playground. This outdoor space offers play, fun, and relaxation for the whole family. Unusually, the local elementary school students not only contributed ideas for the planning but also helped with the construction.
